Orange Blossom Old Fashioned: A Floral Twist on a Classic Cocktail

Orange Blossom Old Fashioned: A Floral Twist on a Classic Cocktail

🍊✨ Orange Blossom Old Fashioned ✨🍊

A timeless cocktail with a floral twist.

We've taken the classic Orange Blossom Old Fashioned recipe from Flouwer Co. and added our favorite finishing touch: Orange Blossom Finishing Sugar, for a beautiful presentation and an extra layer of citrus blossom sweetness.

Ingredients

• 2 oz bourbon or rye whiskey
• 2 Orange Blossom Cocktail Cubes
• 3 dashes Angostura bitters
• Orange Blossom Finishing Sugar
• 3 orange slices
• Cocktail cherry (or a Bourbon soaked cherry if available)
• Ice

Method

  1. Rub the rim of an Old Fashioned glass with one orange slice and dip lightly into Orange Blossom Finishing Sugar.
  2. Place 2 Orange Blossom Cocktail Cubes in the glass. Add the bitters and muddle gently until the cubes are dissolved.
  3. Pour in the bourbon or rye whiskey and stir gently to combine.
  4. Twist a second orange slice over the glass to release its oils, then drop it into the cocktail for a hint of fresh citrus.
  5. Add ice and stir until well chilled.
  6. Garnish with a cherry (or Bourbon cherry).
  7. For an elegant finishing touch, rest a small decorative spoon across the rim of the glass. Cut the remaining orange slice into quarters and place one quarter on the spoon, topped with the third Orange Blossom Sugar Cube. This beautiful garnish allows guests to stir the cube into the cocktail as desired, adding a delicate touch of citrus blossom sweetness with each sip. For an extra touch of color, add an edible flower petal.

The floral notes of orange blossom, fresh citrus, and warm bourbon come together beautifully, creating a cocktail that is as lovely to present as it is to enjoy.

Perfect for gathering with friends, celebrating special moments, or elevating an ordinary evening at home.
